It's Blog Day for Ashwin Madia!
Let's make sure that the local Netroots are doing our part to support a great candidate in a tremendously important race. The eyes of political watchers across the nation are on this race, and I know we can have an impact.
I'll be updating this post throughout the day with links to other posts on the subject and progress updates -- be sure to check back.
Update: Flash is up first with a pretty good analysis on one of the many reasons why our support for Madia is so important: For the last 7 1/2 years, this country has been spiraling into an economic wasteland as the Republics in power have lined the pockets of their rich friends at the cost of the middle class and the future strength of America. They have no vision passed their nose, nor desire to do anything that will strengthen this world for our children and our children's children. They only care about today and what have you done for me lately. We have seen what that kind of short sighted mentality can do for our society.
We have an opportunity to put Ashwin Madia in congress to help right these wrongs, and with your contribution today, we can take another step closer to that ultimate goal. And let's not forget Big E's cogent candidate comparison at MN Blue:Ashwin is the Marine Iraq vet challenging Republican Erik Paulsen. He wants fiscal responsibility whereas Paulsen practiced credit card financing while serving in the Minnesota State House. Ashwin wants our troops out of Iraq in 18-24 months, Paulsen is incoherent on Iraq. Ashwin stands up for what he believes in, Paulsen hides his far right agenda ... Paulsen may believe that global climate change is a hoax. Ashwin is a proud Democrat, Paulsen's website does not have the word Republican on it and he'll never identify himself as a Republican. |
