Senate recount NewsLadder is up

It is being reported that Mark Begich has gone up by over 3,000 votes on Ted Stevens in Alaska, with 45,000 +/- votes left to count.  The majority of the remaining votes appear to be from the Anchorage area, Begich's home turf.  Let's all pray that the trend holds, Begich is elected, & Sarah Palin remains as Governor of the Great White North(west) for years & years & years to come.

In Georgia, the GOP is massing its heavy hitters to descend on the State like a swarm of locusts on a wheat field.  They have already started the fear-mongering ads, and appear to be willing to stop at nothing to keep Chamblis's seat.  The Obama camp has left 35 field offices open, and it remains to be seen what sort of counter-insurgency they will mount in their attempt to turn back the Dark Lords and their Rove-ian sycophants.
