An excellent response by Barack Obama at a campaign stop.
An excerpt:
The McCain campaign would rather have a story about phony and foolish diversions than about the future.
...Enough! I don't care what they say about me, but I love this country too much to let them take over another election with lies and phony outrage and swift-boat politics.
...Spare me the phony outrage. Spare me the phony talk about change. We have real problems in this nation.
I think Obama should hit this hard. In fact, I think he should go on the air with lines like this. It think it would play really well with voters who are getting sick of the Republicans' style of politics, cast him once again as a "post-partisan," and still serve as a rebuke to the McCain campaign.
