(Lather, rinse, repeat. - promoted by Joe Bodell)
Do we have to repeat all the tragedies that have happened this summer? Do we have to revisit all the neglect to our infrastructure that lead to the bridge collapse? Do we have to show again the pictures of the suffering in southern Minnesota from the floods? Minnesota is in pain and what does the Governor do? He drags his feet on a special session.

He says that he's willing to look at investing back into our infrastructure, and then drags his feet

He first says that a special session is needed, then worries that the conversation might get out of his control

His Lt Governor Carol Molnau, right after visiting the devastated southern MN communities calls into question the need to invest in the needed repairs by questioning the need for a special session
Heckuva job Carol.
It is time for the citizens of MN to stand up and demand the needed infrastructure investments! It is time to think of the greater good and the stability of the working class economy. It is time to get past the "drown them in the bathtub" mentality of the Tax Payer League and Heckuva job Tim Pawlenty.
When can we get REAL leadership in this state the actually understands and cares for the citizens of Minnesota? When will we actually insist that we are worth more than just 'good enough'? It is time to demand a Special Session, it is time to reinvest in this State for the good of *all* the people, not just the rich.
Call your elected officials and DEMAND they call the Governor so he can the call a special session. It is not a time for games, let's not settle for mediocrity any longer. |
