41 days after the 35w Bridge fell into the Mississippi Governor Tim Pawlenty's special session 2007 starts. It was a miracle that more did not die, it is a misfortune that it happened here. Does he want to discuss the state of this state's infrastructure? No, he's already forgotten about the 13 people who died because our current and past Governors failed to invest, and he and Lt Governor Molnau actually laughed when they cut our economic and physical security. He cannot find a way to "reach an agreement" with those who do understand that we must invest for our own security.
In 41 days, he could not find a way.
41 days and the Governor has yet again failed us.
41 days and Tim Pawlenty has been branded by his own inaction and ineptitude. The 35w bridge, along with the slow action in dealing with the floods in souther MN, brand him right along side George Bush and his failing with Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.
We have come along ways from the Minnesota Miracle, we now have to deal with the Minnesota Misfortune.
